Know Your Tech Stack
Written by Brian Ball
We've all got a tech stack. It consists of the hardware and software we use to get results in our work and life.
The unfair.marketing blog uses the content management system by sanity.io along with the templating framework called '11ty' to manage the front-end.
- It's light.
- It generates a static build.
- It's not user friendly if you don't read code a little.
- It's relatively fast to get started.
Version 1 is better than version none and I grabbed this stack example for a quick start. As I use it and take notes, I'll make better decisions about what's important.
The key is taking the notes.
Notes I want to take include:
- Alternative tech
- Hosting
- The site is currently hosted on the Netlify cdn network.
- DNS
- I'm not using the actual domain yet and need to figure out how I want to proceed. ( 3.19.21 )
- SEO
- I doubt there is any SEO benefit at the moment.
- Automation
- Using github / netlify / sanity_io to automate the build and deploy
- Slack notifications upon deploy start
- Marketing / Social
- Twitter @brianball - is the main source of social activity
